Jessima's Story
Jessima came into my house as a mistreated 9 month
old female boxer , she was chained to a fence 24 hrs a day (you can see this
on the marks on her neck, it was totally infected) and she came with a
tick in her leg, which I discovered in time. The poor little thing was
absolutely stressed out, frightened and underweight. I had to carry her to my
kennels, and her little heart was just pounding and her beautiful eyes were
looking at me full of pain and worry.
It took me three days to get this young Boxer
right, I slept with her, just to make her comfortable at her new home.
She was totally frightened of men ( no wonder, her previous owner used to kick
and beat her ). Usually, when I get rescue-boxer into my home, I try to
rehome them, but I could not do this to little Jessima, she just stole my
heart and she just fitted in with my other Boxers so, I've kept her for good.
Today, Jessima is about 18 month old, very
content, just last week she achieved her first certificate in
obedience-training.
