Major

As a young family we were dubious about what breed of dog to welcome into our home, after watching how affectionate and loyal my Mother-in-Laws Boxer was, the decision was easy to make. My husband and I were lucky enough to have found our first Boxer at the RSPCA who happily became a member of our family for a great many years until this March when sadly he passed away.

My husband was overseas at the time of his passing and I longed for the companionship that I had shared with my previous Boxer, So I searched the Internet and came across a site where I met a lovely lady who passed on the number for the Queensland Boxer Rescue Society , I immediately contacted Val Rogers and as luck would have it she had a male fawn Boxer up for rescue.

Like I found with my first Boxer, Major was very mischievous and lacked any obedience, love and affection. But with a lot of love and care he has settled in well, becoming a wonderful addition to our family. He shows complete respect and love for our two young children and looks forward to their coming home from school everyday.

For us rescuing has been the most rewarding experience, he may have needed a little extra care but it is all worth while to watch him bound and leap happily around the yard,  and the times that he just wants to cuddle up be loved are the best…
