Judge’s Critique

I was very impressed with the overall condition of the exhibits and the presentation by the handlers.

On the whole the Boxers presented were well constructed and sound. The hallmark of the breed is the Head and it is in this department that I feel more work is needed in the pursuit of excellence. Whilst the heads of the winners were generally good there were many variations seen in the ring on the day. Some of the heads were over wrinkled; muzzles could have more width and depth and there was a tendency towards weak underjaws. Temperament was good.

I had a wonderful day in the ring and I would like to thank the club for giving me the honour to adjudicate at this show, the exhibitors for the privilege to go over their dogs and the stewards for running the show so efficiently. And not forgetting the people who labored behind the scene to make this show an enjoyable day for all present.

CLASS 1: BABY PUPPY DOG

1. BOKSON WHAT IS HE VERDICT (AI)

Well balanced puppy with pleasing head, good topline, good chest and well angulated hindquarters.

2. TWIBSTER BUXTON

A puppy with good body proportions. Good head with wide muzzle. Would like better expression. Good topline, front and hindquarters.

3. KADENCE KAUSIN KAOS (Imp NZ)

This puppy has a well balanced outline, good head, crested neck and good topline.

CLASS 3: PUPPY DOG

1. HOGWART GROUND BREAKER

A well conditioned dog with strong square body. Very good head and expression, strong neck, firm backline, good front, deep chest and muscular hindquarters. Moved well.

CLASS 4: JUNIOR DOG

1. JIMBREN IRISH REBEL at VINEEN (Imp IRE)

This dog excel in type. Very good head and body proportions. Good shoulders and front, deep chest and well angulated hindquarters.

2. BOXVALE STORMY ENCOUNTER (AI)

Well presented with clean flowing outline. Good head, arched neck, good backline and tail set. Moved well.

3. HOGWARTZ BABES AND BLACKJACK

A well proportioned male with good neck, good shoulders and front, strong hindquarters. Hind movement could be better.

CLASS 5: INTERMEDIATE DOG

1. AUST CH BERLANE’S DREAM WARRIOR at VINEEN (Imp USA)

Well balanced outline with no exaggeration. Good head and expression, clean neck, firm back, correct shoulders and front. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved well.

2. CH CHIZACK WOODY WOODPECKER (AI)

This dog presented a good topline with good head, strong neck and correct tail set, well laid shoulders, Front pasterns not firm, good chest and underline, good hindquarters.

3. KUROONA UNCOMMON VALOUR

Good body proportions. Strong neck and good backline, good front, deep chest and strong hindquarters. Head qualities and expression could be better.

CLASS 10: AUSTRALIAN BRED DOG

1. BANDIDO BLENDIT LIKE BECKHAM

A compact muscular dog with pleasing head, strong neck, short back and correct tail set. Well laid shoulders and true front, good chest and well muscled hindquarters. Sound mover. RCC

2. CH JUELLE BEAR IT ALL

Well balanced dog with nice clean head and expression. Good fore and hind angulation. Correct front and strong hindquarters. Well presented.

3. BOXALICIOUS MAXIMUS ORELIUS

Nice outline showing well balanced body, good head, strong neck, good chest and strong hindquarters. Tighter eyelids will enhance his expression.

CLASS 11: OPEN DOG

1. CH BOXVALE BOOGIE NIGHTS

An extrovert dog with substance. Clean head, strong neck, well laid shoulders and good front, deep chest and well angulated hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Good mover covering the ground well. CC and Rup BIS

2. CH KELLYNDA BLENDOF THE BEST

A short coupled muscular male with good head, strong back and well set tail. Good straight front, deep chest and very strong hindquarters. Moved well.

3. GR CH SAXONEE TAKE NO PRISONERS

Another quality male with good head and expression. Very good topline, correct front, deep chest and well angulated hindquarters. Well handled.

CLASS 1A: BABY PUPPY BITCH

1. BLUEPRINT CAUGHT MY EYE

This baby certainly caught my eye the moment she came into the ring. A stunner. Even at this tender age she has a classy outline with a pleasing head, lovely topline and bang on tail set, good front and well angulated hindquarters. Moved effortlessly around the ring.

2. SUAVEE SOME LIKE IT HOT

Good type puppy. Good head and expression, good topline and good hindquarters. Moved well.

3. HOGWARTZ LABEL ME GLORIOUS

Showed a pleasing outline when stacked. Good head and topline, correct tail set, good front and hindquarters.

CLASS 2A: MINOR PUPPY BITCH

1. RONIN WRAPPED ROUND YA FINGER

A balanced bitch with good neck, backline, correct front and good hindquarters. Would like a cleaner head.

CLASS 3A: PUPPY BITCH

1. PHOENWAY BRANDY KISSES

She presented a clean outline with good head, correct length of neck, good front, level back and good hindquarters. Moved well.

2. BOXFINN JUSTA COUNTRY GIRL

A quality puppy with a clean head, good neck, well laid shoulders, good front and hindquarters with adequate angulation.

3. SAXONEE TIME NTIME AGAIN

This puppy is well constructed with good length of neck, good backline, nice front and hindquarters.

CLASS 4A: JUNIOR BITCH

Well balanced bitch with clean head, good neck, short back, good depth of chest and well angulated hindquarters. Moved well.

2. NIKKABOCS VIOLET HAZE

A well conditioned compact bitch with a square outline. Good head, strong neck, short coupled, good front and strong hindquarters. Would like more turn of stifle.

3. OZSTOCK OZZIE MAID

Good head and expression, correct shoulders, straight front, good depth of chest and good hindquarters.

CLASS 5A: INTERMEDIATE BITCH

A well balanced feminine bitch. Very clean in outline with a good head, good reach of neck, good layback of shoulders and correct front. Strong hindquarters. Moved well. RCC

2. CH RONIN DARKLY DREAMING (Imp NZ)

A sound bitch with good head and topline. Good forequarters with correct front. Good strong hindquarters and correct tail set. Moved well.

3. RONIN ALL RILED UP AT KELJAMAR (Imp NZ)

A compact bitch with good head and expression. Firm short back and correct tail set. Good shoulders and strong hindquarters
